Cancelation & N0-Show Policy

We understand that life happens and schedules change! However, because our clinicians reserve dedicated time and travel for each in-home appointment, the following policy applies:

  • Minimum Service Fee: All in-home appointments have a $120 minimum charge, even if the service time is shorter.

  • Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment will be charged the $120 minimum in-home fee.

    • If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

  • No-Shows: Missed appointments without notice will be charged the full minimum in-home fee ($120).

  • Follow-Up Appointments: Our follow-ups are offered at a flat rate to maintain your guarantee. Cancellations or missed follow-ups without 24-hour notice will result in a forfeiture of the follow-up rate, and a new appointment will be billed at the regular in-home rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is considered "short hair" and "long hair" for booking head check or follow up appointments?

A: When booking an appointment where you are asked to select the length of hair for the service, hair that is long enough to section at least some of it into a clip or ponytail, we consider "long hair". If you cannot pull any of the hair into a ponytail or clip, it is considered "short hair":

​​Q: Do I need to get the whole family checked for lice if someone has it in the household? 

A: Yes — to qualify for our 30-Day Guarantee, all family members in all households (including nannies) must be checked.​

Q: How should I prepare for my appointment?

A: Please have hair detangled and clean. This helps us get started quickly and makes the process smoother for both you and our clinician when we arrive. 

 

Q: I called but haven’t heard back yet — what should I do?

A: During our busy season, it may take us some time to return calls or emails. The fastest way to check availability is always through Booksy, which shows our real-time availibilty.

​Q: I think I found lice but I’m not sure — what should I do?

A: If you’ve saved what you found, you can text us a clear, magnified, and focused photo to our phone number. We’re happy to take a look and help confirm whether it’s lice, nits, or something else. Also, saving any evidence that you found at home can help us identify it when we get to your home.

Q: My husband or child has a buzzed head — do they still need to get checked?
A: Yes — unless their hair was completely shaved off, they should still be checked. Lice can lay their eggs (nits) on the base of the hair shaft, next to the scalp. So if there’s any hair left from a guarded clipper cut, we recommend bringing them in for a head check to be sure.

Q: My child has sensory sensitivities or a sensitive scalp — how will you handle their treatment?
A: We understand that every child is different and may have unique needs during their lice removal. Our staff undergo thorough training focused on gentle, patient, and compassionate care to make the experience as comfortable as possible. We recommend distractions like a movie or tablet, snacks, fidget toys etc. If you have specific concerns or requests, please let us know before your appointment so we can best support your child.
